Silvershell Summer Program
For participants entering Kindergarten, up to grade 6! Summer programs include daily outdoor activities, scheduled arts and crafts, team building, games, individual/team sports, swimming, and one field trip per week are included. All participants will receive a Summer Program T-shirt. Participants should pack a lunch and a snack. Food is also available for purchase at the Silvershell Food Shack. Counselors are expertly trained and all are CPR/First Aid Certified

Sippican Theater Camp
Are your kids READY TO BE IN A PLAY? Do they love to perform and have fun? Join us for the best week ever! Daily crafts, theater games, and prep for our performance on Friday. It's going to be awesome! This program is for kids in grades 4-6. Mrs. Barrett joins us as the camp director with ten years of experience directing the Blueberry Patch Players on Prudence Island. She is excited to direct a summer play for
students in Marion.
Cost: $250 per participant/week
June 24-28, 2024 from 9 am - 2 pm
Sippican School Multi-Purpose Room (Drop off in the bus loop)
Show performance for families on June 28 at 2:00 pm.
Over The Net Tennis
Over The Net Tennis - The Tennis program this summer is open to all levels of ability and will be based on the idea that kids learn best when they are having fun. Instruction for beginners will be based around becoming familiar with the fundamentals of the game, grip, balance, footwork, body positioning, and basic racquet technique, and drilled in the core elements of the game's strokes, forehand, backhand, volley, serve as well as be introduced to basic tactics and strategy. Fun tennis-related games and fitness will be combined with real scoring and match-play situations based on the readiness of each player. The Program will run Monday-Thursday, with a rain day on Fridays, with the exception of the week of July 4th, which will run Monday-Wednesday and Friday.
Sessions run from June 24- August 8.
Marion Recreation Summer Program Policies
Participant Registration: Most programs have a minimum number of participants needed for the program to run. Please register early to avoid cancellation.
How To Register: Marion Recreation programs are available for online registration at https://unipaygold.unibank.com/default.aspx or by downloading and submitting a paper registration form. Mail or drop off the completed form with a check made out to Marion Recreation at the address 465 Mill St. Marion, MA 02738. For questions, please email email@example.com or firstname.lastname@example.org. Program registration is not complete until final payment is received. Program space is available on a first-come first served basis and online registration is preferred.
Oops: The Recreation Department makes every effort to ensure the accuracy of the program information on our website and brochures. Changes in programming may occur and we will attempt to keep information updated to the best of our ability. All programs, instructors, and locations are subject to change.
Financial Assistance: Marion Recreation Department tries to keep its program fees at an affordable level. If you have an unusual family financial situation that limits participation due to the fee, please reach out to discuss available options. Payment plans are available upon request. Please contact the Marion Recreation Department for more information.
Returned Check Policy: A $35.00 fee will be assessed for any checks returned by your bank as not payable.
Photo Policy: We may take photos and or videos of program participants for our marketing purposes. If you do not want your child to be photographed, please note this on the registration form.
Refund Policy: Refunds are issued only when a class is canceled by the recreation department or if the participant enrolled in the program has a note from a physician's office stating they are not able to participate in a program because of a medical condition. Exceptions to this policy may be approved at the discretion of the Director of Recreation.
