The Mattapoisett River Valley Water District (District), from which the Town of Marion receives public water supply, will begin construction of the District’s Water Treatment Plant Upgrades project on or about Monday, January 6, 2025.  Construction is scheduled to be complete by April 30, 2025.  The District will continue to actively treat the public water supply throughout the duration of construction.  Please be mindful of the project and conserve water if possible during the construction period. 

If you experience discolored water, please run your outside spigot until it clears.  If discolored water continues, please contact the Marion Department of Public Works at 508-748-3540.

Periodic updates during construction will be provided to the public through the Town of Marion Website and the Town’s NotifyMe email notification system. 

The District and the Marion Department of Public Works greatly appreciate your patience during this important construction project.  Thank you.
