A message from the Town Clerk and Police Chief regarding the upcoming November, 5, 2024 Election:
Know before you go:
Please no campaigning within the 150’ perimeter of the building (this area will be clearly marked).
This includes the following:
- Handing out campaign literature or write-in stickers
- Greeting voters (if you’re a candidate on the ballot)
- Asking voters to vote in a certain way
- Soliciting signatures for ANY petition
The following items (which might bear the name of any candidate on the ballot or a ballot question) are not allowed inside the 150’ perimeter and the inside of the polling location:
- Political Signs
- T-shirts or other apparel
- Badges or buttons
- Hats
- Face Coverings
- Signs

Poll workers are REQUIRED by law to ask for and repeat your street address and name, so please be patient.
Time is limited in the voting booths (5 minutes if there’s a line, 10 minutes if no line) so please be prepared with your voting choices prior to entering the booth. There will be extra red books for the questions and sample ballots posted on the walls.
If you see something, please say something either to the Warden/Town Clerk or Police Officer.
