Trash & Recycling Information

Town of Marion, trash and recycling collection services provided by Waste Management.

    • please call WM at (800) 972-4545 between the hours of 7:30 am - 5:00pm Monday - Friday

Schedule

All solid waste and recyclables should be placed in the Waste Management carts and placed curbside by 7 am on your current collection day.

Recycling will now be collected every other week on Wednesday. (Please see the Collection Schedule from the 2025 through 2026 Waste Management Curbside Flyer)

  • Monday Trash Collection = Wednesday Recycling Green Week
  • Tuesday Trash Collection = Wednesday Recycling Gold Week
  • Friday Trash Collection = Wednesday Recycling Gold Week

Curbside Trash & Recycling Collection

All Waste Management carts are property of the Town and must remain at the property where they are delivered.

All regular household refuse must be bagged and placed in the GREEN cart for collection.

All recycling must be placed loose in the BLUE cart for collection, do not place plastic bags in the recycling cart, they are unacceptable.

The lids on the cart must be firmly closed and no materials may be left outside the cart. Any material left outside the cart will not be collected.

Curbside Collection of Large Bulk Items & Household Appliances

Large items that will not fit in your cart such as, but not limited to, upholstered or wooden furniture, tables, chairs, and large appliances can be collected curbside for a per-item fee. (Mattress, box springs, and electronics are excluded.)
