Mission Statement

The Marion Transportation and Circulation Task Force (TCTF) will explore options to improve all modes of circulation/transportation in the Town of Marion to assist residents and visitors in negotiating local streets and recreational areas safely, efficiently, and enjoyably.

Statement of Goals

The Marion Transportation and Circulation Task Force (TCTF) is a volunteer committee constituted by the Planning Board. It is composed of town residents (year-round or seasonal) who will explore options for improving all modes of circulation/transportation in Marion, as envisioned in the 2017 Master Plan. Issues to be considered: vehicle traffic patterns, sidewalks, bike paths/lanes, and crosswalks, as well as functional interactions among these modes. The TCTF will become familiar with the "Complete Streets" program by the Massachusetts Department of Transportation, and assess which of its components may benefit Marion, particularly any opportunities for funding. The TCTF's goal is to present options and funding pathways to the Planning Board for possible implementation as funding allows.
