Village Loop Project
The Marion Department of Public Works will continue a water main improvement project on Front Street from Route 6 to South Street beginning Monday, March 24, 2008. Construction on additional side streets including South St., Ryder Lane, Main St., Hiller St. and Spring St. will soon follow. Motorists can expect delays while traveling through the construction areas and should seek alternate routes. Water customers in and around the construction areas may experience interruptions in water service and/or discoloration of water. Advance notice of planned shut-downs will be provided to residents / businesses, but unannounced disruptions due to main breaks may occur. Every effort will be made to minimize inconvenience to customers and motorists. If you experience rusty water, please run your cold water faucet until it clears.
